Are all motorcycle grips the same size?

There are two standard sizes of grips to choose from, 1" or 7/8". Therefore, when you want to change your grips, measure your handlebar diameter and match the grips to the desired size. Generally speaking, 7/8 inch diameter grips usually accompany street/metric bikes, while 1 inch usually fits Harley/cruiser applications.
